Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap

The guide greets visitors on arrival and accompanies them to the hotel.

Day 2: Siem Reap Tour

Start your Angkor experience with a twist, as you kick-off your tour learn about the fascinating and impactful work of APOPO, an NGO committed to humanitarian landmine clearance with the help of specially trained rats! Next, visit the world-famous Angkor temples around Siem Reap. Our knowledgeable local guide will lead visitors through to complex, sharing expert insight and revealing the temple’s mysteries.

Day 3: Siem Reap

Enjoy a free day to explore the charming town of Siem Reap at your own leisure. Enjoy the hotel pool or take part in one of our optional tours.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Battambang

A 3-hour drive to Battambang, famous for its French colonial architecture, rural scenes, and the rubies and garnets mined in this province. Explore the sites with the guide, including the governor’s residence and the Romcheik 5 gallery – an art space supporting young local artists. Then, visit Wat Kor for an insight into local life. Locals give the visitors a short tour of the village, explain their history, and show them around a traditional Khmer home. Eat dinner at a social enterprise restaurant where proceeds go to helping the local community

Day 5: Battambang

A full-day tour of Battambang that includes exploring ancient temples such as the 11th-century Wat Phnom Banan, and Ek Phnom Temple, and a ride on the unique Bamboo train. After lunch, visit a local fishing village before heading to Phnom Sampeau, a natural rock formation which contains a series of caves – once a stronghold for the Khmer Rouge. At around 5pm, visit Bat cave for a spectacular natural event as thousands of bats vacate the cave as dusk

Day 6: Battambang-Phnom Penh

The guide accompanies travellers for the 6-hour drive to Phnom Penh. The rest of the day is free.

Day 7: Phnom Penh

Get your bearings in Phnom Penh on a half-day tour. Explore the Royal Palace on the banks of the Mekong. Next, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum within the converted prison facility of Pol Pot’s forces, which documents the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge. The tour wraps up at the city’s central market, a bustling area selling everything from silk and gemstones to fresh fish and flowers.

Day 8: Phnom Penh

Free day to explore Phnom Penh or take part in one of our optional tours.

Day 9: Departure

Free time until airport transfer for departure flight.
