Day 1: Arrive in Siem Reap & welcome dinner

Upon arrival, please look out for the Siem Reaper welcome sign at the arrivals gate. We will transfer you to your hotel, where you can take your time and relax by the pool or venture out for your first exploration of this ancient city.

In the early evening, your guide will find you in the hotel reception area for a quick briefing. Then it’s time to enjoy the authentic and creative Cambodian cuisine.

    Day 2: Angkor Sunrise Discovery

Today, we start the tour at dawn and take a short transfer to Angkor Wat in time to see the sunrise. Your guide will take you to the best spots to watch the colorful sunrise. Then, go through the Angkor Central complex and learn about the history and symbolism of Angkor Wat.

Once you have discovered Angkor Wat and enjoy a breakfast, just outside the temple area in peaceful surroundings. Afterward, proceed with the bike tour down the trails behind Angkor Park. Follow tracks that take you through small villages, and see how the locals go about their daily lives.

You will continue to discover other sites such as Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple and other less-known temples through the jungle trails. Then, cycle to Ta Prohm temple which is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found- overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbled to the ground. End your day by enjoying lunch with a large spread of Cambodian dishes beside the ancient reservoir of Srah Srang.

Day 3: Cycling to Banteay Samre & Banteay Srei temple

Today, our bike tour takes us on unpaved roads through rural villages. We cycle on a flat road to the temple of Banteay Samre. From there it goes back on unpaved roads through attractive villages, along with rice fields, and to the temple of Banteay Srei, which is located outside the actual temple city and is made of pink sandstone.

The roads are peaceful, narrow, and very pretty all the way to Bantey Srei. There are plenty of beautiful and real country views to see along the way as you cycle past the local markets, schools, villages, and Buddhist temples. Taking a water break under the shade of the tree before we reach Bantey Srei, which is known as the Citadel of Women, this red sandstone temple is one of Angkor’s most significant structures as its walls are decorated with elaborate carvings, which have been preserved remarkably well.

You will return to Siem Reap town in the afternoon.

Day 4: Trek through the National Park of Kulen mountain

Depart early in the morning by a private air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel to Kulen Mountain. The Kulen Mountain range rises from the plains 50 km north of Siem Reap.

On arrival, we’ll trek up the mountain slope, visit the natural water spring from the Buddha’s foot and enjoy the panoramic view, then trek through the thick forest. Enjoy the magnificent waterfall of Kulen Mountain. After that, you will visit the Hindu carving of Kulen’s riverbed where most Khmer people believe is a sacred place on the mountain.

After a refreshing dip in the water and a bite to eat, we trek through fantastic undulating single track, made up mostly of walking trails, guided by a ranger from the National Park. Then, you will hike through the jungle past remote villages and see life-sized stone elephants standing serenely at Srah Damrei. We’ll also visit Cambodia’s largest reclining Buddha before heading to the 20-meter high Kulen Waterfall, where we can enjoy a refreshing dip before returning to town.

Day 5: Cycling the floating village & Kayaking Mechrey

Today you will head toward the vast wetlands on the edge of Asia’s largest freshwater lake, Tonle Sap. This outdoor adventure will take you on the backroads of Siem Reap in order to explore the local life, culture, and great landscape. You will have a beautiful ride through rice paddies and small villages, with locals greeting us as we cycle by.

Afterwards, visit the village that builds their houses on stilts, often up to ten metres high. The entire village floats and moves with the receding or increasing waters, thereby continually shifting its location throughout the seasons. You will have the opportunity to kayak through the gently lapping waters of the village to witness and learn about the daily lifestyle of the local inhabitants. In the high water season, we’ll also be able to paddle through the surrounding mangrove swamps and flooded forests. You will return back to the city by private vehicle in the evening.

Relax by your hotel pool or venture out to explore the markets or boutique shops, cafes and restaurants until it’s time to transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
